Switch relays, contactors and smart sockets on or off during recurring local-time windows.
Use a switched load schedule for fixed loads that Controller controls through a relay, contactor or smart socket. It provides recurring on and off windows while keeping the site's default control strategy active at all other times.
Typical applications include pumps, immersion heaters, ventilation equipment and other non-modulating loads. Only connect loads that are technically and operationally suitable for remote switching.
| Scheduled mode | Behaviour during the window | Typical purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Force on | Closes or enables the selected switched output. | Running a load during solar production or a low-price period. |
| Force off | Opens or disables the selected switched output. | Preventing consumption during a peak or restricted period. |
| Follow default control | Uses the site's normal Controller control strategy. | Returning explicitly to the standard energy-management behaviour. |
Give devices clear names before configuring the schedule. This makes it easier to distinguish similar relay outputs during commissioning and troubleshooting.
| Days | Time | Mode | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Every day | 11:00–15:00 | Force on | Use the expected solar-production window. |
| Every day | 17:00–21:00 | Force off | Avoid the evening demand peak. |
| All other times | — | Default control | Resume normal site optimisation. |
The schedule participates in the external-signal priority system. If several signals request different modes, the active signal with the highest configured priority wins.
Forced on and off modes act as manual overrides, so normal minimum and maximum on, off or waiting times do not delay a forced transition. Controller plans the resulting fixed load before flexible EV, battery and PV actions and can use those assets to compensate where possible within the grid limits.
A switched load configured to pass through an external signal ignores schedule control. The schedule status identifies affected devices. Disable passthrough only when the schedule is meant to control that output.
Do not use this function to interrupt safety-critical equipment. Loads with compressors, pumps or mandatory run-on periods may require additional protection against frequent switching.
Check whether the switched load is configured for external-signal passthrough. Also verify that a higher-priority external signal is not active.
Confirm that the device is configured as a supported relay, contactor or smart socket and is assigned to the correct site.
Verify the site's configured time zone, including daylight-saving-time behaviour, and review the selected weekdays and active date period.
